MySQL Connection for External Apps

This allows you to connect to the application database externally. It also opens the database port to the whole Internet, so please use this only if absolutely necessary.

Navigate to Settings under the applicable application and click Configure next to External MySQL:

Then select Enabled and click Update Configuration:

You'll see a notice indicating that the configuration update was scheduled:

After a few minutes, reload the page and it will say Enabled next to External MySQL. Click Configure again and you will see the external MySQL connection settings listed, along with an option to download the SSL certificate:
